The admin bar is the dark toolbar that appears across the top of the screen when you’re logged into WordPress — both in the dashboard and on the live front end of your site.
It gives you quick shortcuts without needing to navigate back to the full dashboard menu. You’ll typically see your site name, a link to add new content, notification icons, and your account details.
Why It’s Useful
Say you’re browsing your own site as a visitor would and spot a typo. Instead of digging through menus, you can click “Edit Page” right from the admin bar and jump straight into fixing it.
Hiding It From Visitors
The admin bar is only visible to logged-in users — regular visitors never see it. If you’d rather not see it yourself while browsing your own site, you can turn it off individually from your user profile settings without affecting other users.
